ROUND ROCK, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Dell today announced that its PowerEdge servers are the hardware foundation for the new Google Search Appliance (GSA) 6.0. Dell's OEM Industry Solutions Group (Dell OEM) extensively customized its next generation of PowerEdge servers that power the Google Search Appliance 6.0 for enterprise customers, making it as simple to organize and search information behind the corporate firewall as it is to use Google.com.

with Google's sophisticated software algorithms for optimal performance

o The GSA 6.0 is powered by highly customized PowerEdge R710 rack
servers. The R710, part of Dell's 11th generation PowerEdge family
with Intel Xeon 5500 processors, offers high energy efficiency and
performance and low total cost of ownership.

large organizations. Dell OEM customized the chassis design of the
appliance with aesthetics that embody the essence of Google's
